QuitReady Young Person Stop Smoking Service

QuitReady Young Person Stop Smoking Service works across Leicestershire and Rutland to support, advise and educate you on the risks of smoking and vaping to your health.

Our service is free and confidential. The conversations you have with our Young Person Stop Smoking Specialist will remain confidential.  We will ask your permission before we share information, but if we feel you’re at risk from harm then we will share information to ensure we keep you safe.

We cover schools in the following areas of Leicestershire:

  • Hinckley & Bosworth
  • Charnwood
  • Northwest
  • Harborough
  • Blaby
  • Melton
  • Oadby & Wigston

We also cover schools in Rutland.

We work with young people from 12-17 years in lots of different ways.

 

Smoking Cessation

Want help and support to quit smoking?  You will be offered our QuitReady 12-week programme.

Our friendly Young Person Stop Smoking Specialists will support you on a weekly basis either in:

  • 1-1 advisory sessions in school,
  • Support over the telephone, text messaging, webchat, or email.

As well as speaking to you on a weekly basis, our specialists can make additional contact if you wish – whatever suits you best.

We will provide you with Nicotine Replacement Therapy as well as help and advice on how to make the change to being a non-smoker.

You can refer yourself using the form at the bottom of this page or you can get a trusted adult or member of staff at school to refer you.

 

Education on Vaping

Want support, advice and education on vaping? Our friendly Young Person Stop Smoking Specialists are here to support you. We can do this in lots of different ways:

You can refer yourself or you can get a trusted adult or member of staff at school to refer you.

We offer brief information sessions and a follow up call to check on your progress, our specialists can make additional contact if you wish – whatever suits you best.

 Our aim is to make sure all young people have the most up to date information, to make the right choice for their future health and wellbeing.
