Training for Professionals

All professionals that work with Young People are offered the opportunity to attend our training session. We want to ensure that everyone is sharing the most up to date, relevant information with our Young People.

These sessions will be offered online every few weeks to ensure that all professionals are upskilled and having the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding.

We will offer training on vaping and smoking.

This training will include:

  • How to support young people to quit
  • Guidance around the laws on vaping
  • The impact it has on our environment
  • Withdrawal effects the young person may experience while quitting
  • Whole School Approach

We will keep professionals updated, with new guidance and information regarding what’s going on locally as well as nationally.

We also want to ensure that our hard-to-reach young people are targeted. We will ensure that we target young people who are not in education and our looked after children.

If you are interested in attending this training, please email quitreadyyp@leics.gov.uk.
